Dry Adhesive Paper Straw Manufacturing Process
Traditional paper straw manufacturing process of wet adhesion is not such efficient which the paper has to go through the step of soaking glue, long distance set up in front of sealing. If glue coating on the surface is not even, it will have the quality problem like squeeze-out or sticking incompletely. Furthermore, wet adhesive straws must be placed for 1-2 days then should place on the oven for drying to fix shape then move to packing machine for single pack or bulk pack. All the process is relied on manual operating and the sophisticated workers are important to control the quality and reduce the defective rate. Furthermore, it is required an area to store the semi-made products when waiting for drying. More production volume would require more space for storage.
USP innovated paper straw manufacturing process which remove the final drying step and using patented dry adhesive coated paper to heat-sealing in process. After forming, straws can directly go to next steps of cutting and packing to avoid contamination by hand touch. From paper feeding, sealing & forming, cutting to packing that carry out automatically in production line, higher capacity and less labors requirement. Furthermore, the produced straw is more resistant to high temperature (>80℃) and will not dispersed and glued off even soaked in water for a long time (in cold water for more than 24 hours)
